Disciplinary Measures


Grounds for Disciplinary Action

Members and officers may be subject to disciplinary measures in cases of:

  • Breach of confidentiality.
  • Financial abuse, fraud, or misconduct.
  • Gross negligence or failure to fulfill assigned duties.

Procedure

  • A written complaint must be submitted to the Secretary General.
  • The Ethics Committee will conduct a fair and impartial investigation.
  • Findings and recommendations are submitted to the Executive Board.
  • Based on the recommendation, the Board may issue a formal warning, suspension, or expulsion, depending on severity.

Amendments

These Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the General Assembly, provided members receive at least 30 days’ prior written notice of the proposed changes.

Conflict of Interest

To preserve integrity and accountability, the following principles apply:

  • Officers, board members, and staff must disclose any personal or financial interests that could influence organizational decisions.
  • Individuals with a declared conflict of interest are required to recuse themselves from related deliberations and voting.
  • Full transparency is expected to protect the organization’s reputation and ensure fair decision-making.
