Becoming a member of Arlaadi Council means joining a vibrant community committed to unity, empowerment, and sustainable progress. Members play an active role in shaping the organization’s vision, participating in programs, and contributing to meaningful initiatives that uplift our communities.

Eligibility

Membership is open to individuals of Arlaadi origin, their descendants, and committed allies who support the mission and values of the organization.

Classes of Membership

  • Founding Members: Individuals who helped draft the Charter and establish the Arlaadi Council.
  • Regular Members: Open to all individuals of Arlaadi origin and allies who support our mission.
  • Youth/Student Members
  • Honorary Members: Awarded to individuals who render exceptional service. These members hold recognition but no voting rights.
  • Institutional Partners (e.g., NGOs, mosques)

Application & Approval

Joining is simple. Prospective members submit a membership form and pay the annual dues. Applications are reviewed and approved by the relevant Country Chapter Executive Committee or the Executive Board to ensure alignment with our mission.

Membership Dues

  • Standard Annual Dues: $100 USD (or equivalent in local currency).
  • Reduced Rates: Available upon request for youth, students, and low-income members.
  • Dues Compliance: Members who fail to pay dues for two consecutive years will forfeit their voting rights until payment is made.
  • Founding Members: Founders who miss four consecutive bi-weekly meetings without a pre-approved reason automatically transition to general membership but remain welcome as active contributors.

Rights & Responsibilities

As a member of the Arlaadi Council, you are encouraged to:

  • Vote and participate in General Assembly meetings.
  • Contribute dues
  • Elect officers and run for executive positions.
  • Serve on committees and contribute to programs.
  • Uphold the AGF values, integrity, and confidential strategies of the organization.
